Health Services

Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health

The Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Service is an acute psychiatric unit that offers stabilization, diagnostic assessment, and short-term multi-disciplinary treatment for adolescents ages 13-18; 18 year-old adolescents must be enrolled in high school and live at home or with a responsible adult.

The patient (ages 14 and up) or their parents (age 13) must consent to admission. This unit does not admit involuntary patients.

Each patient will receive an individual treatment plan that will be regularly reviewed and adjusted with input from the patient, their family, and members of the multidisciplinary treatment team, which includes physicians, nurses, licensed clinical social workers, teachers, milieu therapists, and behavioral health technicians.
