The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Hospital Inclement Weather Operating Status: Closed

Fort Belvoir Community Hospital and its outlying health clinics, Dumfries, Fairfax, and DiLorenzo are CLOSED Monday January 3, 2022 in accordance with OPM guidelines for the impending inclement weather.

All routine and acute appointments as well as elective surgeries are cancelled. Virtual appointments will remain available. 

Emergency Room services remain open.

Upon reopening of the federal government, patients may call the Integrated Referral Management Appointing Center at 1-855-227-6331 or contact the clinic where you originally scheduled your appointment to reschedule. 

COVID-19 Guidance

Both the COVID-19 Testing Clinic and COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic hours follow local OPM guidelines, and will be closed as well.

Additional closures or changes in normal operation hours may be impacted by inclement weather.
