Limited Services on January 9, 2025
for National Day of Mourning

Date: 01/07/2024

On January 9, the A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center will observe the National Day of Mourning for President Jimmy Carter, during which limited services will be available.

Patients with scheduled outpatient appointments for that day will be contacted by their respective clinics to reschedule.

Surgeries will proceed as planned, and emergency and inpatient services will remain fully operational, including:

  • Main Operating Room
  • Inpatient Laboratory, Radiology and Pharmacy
  • Emergency Room
  • Inpatient Care
  • Labor and Delivery/Mother Baby Unit

To accommodate community needs following recent weather disruptions in the National Capital Region (NCR), the Dumfries and Fairfax Ambulatory Care Center (ACC's) will remain OPEN on January 9th, offering primary care, specialty care, and urgent care services.

We appreciate your understanding during this time and invite you to join us in honoring the life and legacy of America’s 39th President.

If you have questions regarding an upcoming appointment, please contact your care team by phone or through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal.
