The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

ATAMMC Operating Status for

The Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center (ATAMMC) and its outlying health centers at Dumfries and Fairfax are OPEN UNDER A TWO HOUR DELAYED ARRIVAL Saturday, February 17, 2024 in accordance with inclement weather guidelines.

The Main Pharmacy at ATAMMC, its satellite location in the Main Exchange, and all ancillary and urgent care services will NOT be available until 9:00 a.m.

Emergency Room services remain open.

As a reminder, Kingman Gate will be closed Friday, Feb. 16 - Monday, Feb. 19 in observance of Presidents’ Day. Lieber and Farrar (Davidson AAF) Gates are always 24 hours daily. Tulley Gate is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. See Installation Access/Gates page to ensure most up to date information from Fort Belvoir Garrison.

Non-emergency employees have the option for unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework if authorized for those with an approved agreement.

Employees should plan to arrive for work no later than 8:30 a.m. in order to provide services to patients.

Military and civilian staff members who are unsure of their reporting status, have questions about the operating status of their department, or who may have difficulty getting to work due to unsafe conditions must contact their immediate supervisor.
