Installation Gate Access Update, August 5, 2024
Date: 8/5/2024
In order to ensure the safety and security of the people who live and work on Fort Belvoir, the Garrison Commander has directed that starting immediately, access to Fort Belvoir is limited to individuals with valid DoD ID Cards and their minor dependents, or those holding existing sponsorship privileges.
This change is indefinite and will remain in effect until ordered otherwise by the Garrison Commander.
The safety of the installation residents and employees is the top priority, and your understanding and patience is appreciated during this time.
Visitors must meet their Fort Belvoir sponsor at the Visitor Control Center for access located at Tulley Gate.
Food delivery and taxi services (taxi, Uber, Lyft, Rideshares) are not permitted on the installation; all deliveries must occur outside the gate.
To facilitate these changes, Tulley Gate will be open 24 hours starting on Saturday, Aug. 3, and Lieber Gate will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Any updates to this policy will be communicated through Fort Belvoir’s social media channels, and shared on the ATAMMC channels as well.
Please plan ahead and expect possible delays when entering the installation.
Thank you in advance. We will keep you updated as information is received.
See Installation Access/Gates page to ensure most up to date information from Fort Belvoir Garrison.
