Social Work

The Department of Social Work is here to help patients and their families manage issues and medical concerns affecting everyday life. We are part of a Multidisciplinary Team, to ensure patients are involved in all aspects of patient care — medicine, nursing, physical therapy and more.

Family Advocacy Program

Within the Social Work department, our Family Advocacy Program works to coordinate professional intervention, including law enforcement, social services, health and legal services. The program is designed to break the cycle of abuse by identifying abuse early and providing treatment to family members. We work to strengthen family relationships and prevent child and spouse maltreatment. We are dedicated to enhancing individual coping skills and alleviating the underlying causes of stress associated with family violence.
