Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center Earns An ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group

The Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center (ATAMMC) earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.

The TRISS evaluation system refers to a set of surveys designed to assess patient satisfaction with inpatient care received through the TRICARE Health Program. The surveys measure beneficiaries’ inpatient satisfaction, compared with 14 other Military Medical Centers being surveyed this quarter.

NCC Family Medicine Residency Program at ATAMMC Achieves 100% Board Pass Rate Over Nine-Year Period

The National Care Consortium (NCC) Family Medicine Residency Program at the Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center (ATAMMC) has solidified its reputation for producing exceptional full-scope physicians capable of providing leadership in diverse environments. Since April 2015, the program has seen 117 graduating residents successfully pass their board certification exam on their first attempt, consistently surpassing the national average scores each year. This remarkable achievement has resulted in a perfect 100% board pass rate over the past nine years.
