Fort Belvoir is offering the Pfizer vaccine to Service Members (including Active Duty, Reserves, and National Guard) and Tricare beneficiary’s ages 5 to 11. Pfizer is also offered to beneficiaries 12-17 for first and second doses only.

For beneficiaries ages 12-17 years, we ask that you temporarily obtain the COVID-19 booster vaccine through the civilian network. COVID-19 vaccines are available at Walgreen’s pharmacies, and we encourage beneficiaries to visit their local health department websites to obtain information on additional no cost participating providers.

Please Note: WRNMMC and FBCH will continue providing the Pfizer vaccine to the following groups:

  • DoD Service Members (Active Duty, Reserves, and National Guard)
  • Beneficiaries ages 5 to 11 years old
  • Beneficiaries ages 12 to 17 years old for first and second dose

For beneficiaries that are ineligible for Pfizer at FBCH, but would prefer to receive Pfizer, you can walk into the clinic at 1430 to be on standby for extra doses. There is no guarantee for extra doses.

Key Points

  1. Moderna has arrived. Beneficiaries over 18 can now make an appointment to receive them.
  2. Beneficiaries ages 12-17 can receive their primary series (first and second shot) at FBCH. Booster vaccine can be obtained through our network partners (Walgreen’s) and contact your local community health departments for participating locations.
  3. All beneficiaries who are due for a second dose of the Pfizer vaccine during this time, but do not currently have an appointment, may also come to the clinic on a walk-in basis.
  4. All beneficiaries ineligible for Pfizer (non-active duty 18+, 12-17 years old booster) can walk in at 1430 to be on standby for extra doses. There is no guarantee for extra doses.

We apologize for any inconvenience this temporary shift may cause. As always, we appreciate your flexibility, and we look forward to taking care of you and your family as we navigate through this period together.
