COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Update

The COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at the Fort Belvoir Community Center is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are closed on weekends and Federal Holidays at this time. 

All TRICARE beneficiaries age 16 and up are now eligible to make an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Other eligible personnel include DoD Civilian employees and select contractor personnel who usually receive influenza vaccines as part of a DoD occupational health program.

To schedule a first or second dose appointment, please visit the FBCH COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Portal at: https://informatics-stage.health.mil/BelvoirCOVIDApp/​. You can also receive your vaccine on a walk-in basis between 3 and 5 p.m. subject to vaccine availability.

We’re currently offering the Pfizer vaccine only; this vaccine is given in a two-dose series separated by 21 days. The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is being offered through an Emergency Use Authorization by the Food and Drug Administration on a voluntary basis.

Expanded Clinic Hours & Walk-in Availability 

Beginning Monday, April 26 the FBCH COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic will begin operating 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic operates by appointment, with limited walk-ins available from 3 to 5 p.m. daily.

Walk-ins are subject to vaccine availability and are not guaranteed.

  • All TRICARE beneficiaries, ages 16 and up, are now eligible to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Other eligible personnel include DoD Civilian employees and select contractor personnel who usually receive influenza vaccines as part of a DoD occupational health program are also eligible to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.

Tier #2 Vaccine Appointment Availability 

Exciting news!!! Beginning Wednesday, April 14 the FBCH COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic will open appointments for Tier #2:

  •  All TRICARE beneficiaries, ages 16 and up, are now eligible to make an appointment to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.
  • The FBCH COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic operates by appointment ONLY; there is NO walk-in availability at this time.
  • New appointment time slots are released weekly based on vaccine supply. Please check the appointment site often for new releases.
  • Other eligible personnel include DoD Civilian employees and select contractor personnel who usually receive influenza vaccines as part of a DoD occupational health program.

The COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at the Fort Belvoir Community Center is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. by appointment only. We are closed on weekends and Federal Holidays at this time. Please check the COVID-19 Vaccine Information Hotline at (571) 231-7777, option 1 and OPM operating status prior to your arrival in the event of inclement weather.

We are now in Tier 1C, open to beneficiaries age 65 and up and patients age 16 to 64 with increased risk for severe illness as defined by the CDC. This list of conditions has been expanded; please see the CDC website for more information. Beneficiaries in Tiers 1A and 1B are also still eligible to receive the vaccine. Please note: Tier 1b now includes DoD beneficiaries who work in the civilian sector as education professionals.

First Dose Appointments on Hold

At this time, first dose appointments at the FBCH COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic are on HOLD due to vaccine supply constraints.

Please keep our Vaccination Information Hotline number handy (571) 231-7777, option 1.

Once we receive additional supply, the information hotline will be updated with information on vaccine availability, eligibility, and instructions for scheduling an appointment.

COVID-19 Vaccination appointments will be available for Phase 1B beneficiaries (75 years and older) through TRICARE Online starting Tuesday, February 9, 2021. 

You may call our Vaccination Information Hotline for the most up-to-date information regarding our COVID-19 Vaccination efforts. You may access the hotline 24/7 by calling 571-231-7777, option 1. NOTE: This is an information box ONLY and messages may not be left, however the hotline is updated daily and serves as your best source for the latest information. 

If you have specific questions regarding the vaccine, please contact your primary care provider. 

Military personnel seeking a vaccine should contact their chain of command to schedule an appointment.

Fort Belvoir Community Hospital (FBCH) shares your concerns of quickly providing the most up-to date and accurate information to our beneficiaries and staff. 

As you may know, we've received the Pfizer vaccine here at Fort Belvoir. This vaccine requires two doses, separated by 21 days. We're currently finishing second doses for our healthcare personnel, and getting started with first doses for our Critical National Capabilities personnel. 

We’re gearing up to provide vaccines to the next DHA designated population. Details on providing the vaccine and vaccine availability, eligibility, how to book an appointment and updates will be shared using the following methods:

  • Belvoir Hospital Web Page.
  • Social Media platforms.
  • EverBridge alerts (via phone and text messages).
  • COVAX Hotline (571) 231-7777.
  • FBCH Director mails to the FBCH staff.
  • Notifications via the FBCH Intranet to staff.
  • Recorded messages patients receive when being reminded about appointments. 
  • Updated electronic signage information at the entrance gates of the installation.
  • Base Newspaper (Belvoir Eagle).
