The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Welcome to the endocrine, diabetes, and metabolism service of Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center. We are proud to offer the highest quality care to our military personnel, retirees and their families. Our professional team offers patient- and family-centered inpatient care in the field of endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.

Services Offered

Our highly-trained staff provides adult inpatient and outpatient initial consultation and follow-up of patients with endocrine disorders, thyroid fine needle aspiration biopsies, diagnosis and treatment of thyroid cancer, complex diagnostic metabolic testing with physician interpretation and infusion of a medication for osteoporosis. We provide osteoporosis/osteopenia screening and interpretation through dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scanning.
