Community Collaboration Team
The Community Collaboration Team is built upon the strengths of the existing partnerships developed in order to engage, educate, and serve military families and to share resources.
History
In 2019, Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, School Behavioral Health Program developed the Community Collaboration Clinic (CCC) with support from Fort Belvoir Elementary School and Fort Belvoir’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation Program.
The CCC was created to bring together community partners through in person events in order to strengthen community partnership and resource awareness within the military community. It was able to successfully host two events, one in February 2019 and another in November 2019. From these events, a community resource directory was created.
Since November of 2019, the Community Collaboration Clinic planning committee membership has expanded with the goal of hosting a family day event to provide an opportunity for families to increase awareness of resources available through the CCC partnerships. Due to COVID-19, the family day event has been postponed until social distancing is lifted.
In April 2020, in an effort to adapt to restrictions created by COVID-19, expand beyond hosting in person events, and incorporate military families, the CCC Planning Committee transitioned to the Community Collaboration Team (CCT). The CCT current initiatives include creating an online resource directory and a Parent Advisory Group.
