Traumatic Brain Injury

The Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic provides comprehensive and integrated care, currently to active-duty service members, ages 18-64, leading advancement of world-class traumatic brain injury and psychological health treatment, research, and education.

Located in the Intrepid Pavilion, the Intrepid Spirit Center/TBI clinic helps patients with traumatic brain injuries. Each patient is individually evaluated by multi-disciplinary professionals, and receives his or her own treatment plan. This outpatient facility serves active duty military, veterans, and their families. The team uses a wide variety of techniques to enhance intervention in the patient population's complex needs, which optimizes clinical outcomes and improves the patient's quality of life.

As part of the clinic's treatment system, the team uses a university education model known as the Intrepid Spirit University. It focuses treatment and education on five pillars: sleep, nutrition, physical movement, pain management, and adaptive resiliency. Each participant will complete guided course work to maximize rehabilitation and recovery.
