Augusta Military Medical Center (ATAMMC) proudly participated in “Wear Red Day” today, joining national efforts to raise awareness about heart disease and encourage heart health among service members and their families. This observance, part of American Heart Health Month, emphasizes the critical importance of adopting healthy habits and reducing risk factors associated with cardiovascular diseases, which remain the leading cause of death in the United States.

Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center Earns An ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group

The Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center (ATAMMC) earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
