      Colonel Thomas Rogers

      Colonel Thomas J. Rogers is the incoming Director of the DiLorenzo TRICARE Health Clinic. A Board-Certified Family Physician, he was commissioned as a Captain in the Medical Corps in 1993 entering the Army through the Health Professions Scholarship Program and Army ROTC.

      He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio where he was a Distinguished Military Graduate and a Doctorate of Medicine from Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. His internship and residency in Family Medicine were completed at DeWitt Army Community Hospital, Fort Belvoir, Va. from 1993 to 1996. Military education includes the AMEDD Officer’s Basic and Advanced Courses and the Command and General Staff College.

      Previous assignments include Staff Physician Reynolds Army Community Hospital, Fort Sill, Okla.; Residency Staff Physician and Clinic Director, Tripler Army Medical Center, Tripler, Hawaii; Chief, Department of Primary Care, Fort Sill, Okla.; Brigade Surgeon, 725th Main Support Brigade, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; Division Surgeon, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; Chief, Family Medicine Service, Soldier Care Service and Department of Medical Readiness, Evans Army Community Hospital; Deputy Commander for Clinical Services and Commander, Evans Army Community Hospital. Most recently Col. Rogers was the Assistant Chief of Staff, Clinical Operations, for Regional Health Command-Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii. In addition, deployments include the Multi-National Division North Surgeon (25th Infantry Division), Task Force Lightning, Tikrit, Iraq, and Clinic Director, Special Operations Command, Balad, Iraq.

      Awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (3OLCs), the Joint Services Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (2OLC), the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. He received the Faculty Teaching Award, Tripler Army Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program, in 2002. He is a member of the Order of Military Medical Merit.
