Welcoming our first bundle of joy in 2024!

By Kyle Lee Harvey

(January 2, 2024)— It's a girl!

Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center’s first baby of 2024 was born Monday, January 1st, 2024 at 5:54 a.m. to proud parents Air Force Senior Airmen Matthew and Mrs. Nicole Greely. Weighing in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces, Little Miss Scottie Greely entered the world and claimed the title of “First Baby of 2024”.

What a wonderful way to start this new year by welcoming this baby girl into the world. The Hospital Leadership Team visited the family and presented them with our First Baby gift basket and a Medical Center coin.

“Scottie, the first baby born within our region, has some fortunate birth numbers” stated Command Sgt. Maj. Dedraf Blash, the hospital’s Command Senior Enlisted Leader. “She was born on January 1st and weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces (7-11). You have a truly lucky baby!”

“We are so happy to include Scottie and complete our family!” said Nicole.

Congratulations and thank you for entrusting us with your healthcare on this day of new beginnings!

Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center delivered a total of 915 babies in 2023.

Here’s to a future filled with endless possibilities and boundless dreams!
