Transfer of Directorship Ceremony at A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center

Augusta Military Medical Center (ATAMMC) proudly conducted its Transfer of Directorship Ceremony today, marking a significant transition in leadership within one of the cornerstone institutions of the Defense Health Network. Rear Adm. Reginald Ewing III presided over the ceremony, welcoming Colonel Gina Adam as the new director, succeeding Colonel Elba Villacorta.

Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center Earns An ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group
FORT BELVOIR, Va. — The Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center (ATAMMC) earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
