Health Services

Beginning October 1, future well woman appointment requests will be approved for ACTIVE DUTY ONLY. Dependents and non-active duty service members should see their Primary Care Manager.

Gynecology

Our gynecology team provides well-woman exams, which are recommended by experts whether completed by your primary care provider or with one of our Women's Health providers. A well-woman exam includes a physical exam to focus specifically on reproductive components such as a breast exam, external and internal pelvic exam and possible cervical screening or STI screening as necessary.

To screen for cervical cancer, we use a pap smear exam, which can be combined with a human papillomavirus (HPV) test. According to the American Cancer society, cervical cancer can often be found early and sometimes even prevented entirely, by having regular pap tests. If detected early, cervical cancer is one of the most successfully treatable cancers.
